Shortcross Gin is made by Northern Irish craft gin distillery, Rademon Estate. This small batch gin is made using their custom made still, which features a 450 litre copper pot still and two enrichment columns. Using intriguing botanicals like fresh apple, elderberry and wild clover, as well as juniper, coriander, orange peel, lemon peel and cassia, they produce a vibrant, floral style of gin that befits savouring it neat, as well as enjoying with tonic.
On the nose, Shortcross Gin is juniper and orange peel forward, followed by light mint, elderberry and perfumed coriander notes. The palate leads with an oily mouth feel. Sweet vanilla, subtle pepper and juniper with orange peel and elderberry appearing later on. The finish is Long and warm with pepper and orange taking pride of place. Great in either a G&T or maybe even try an short cross gin Elderflower Collins cocktails.

Enjoy as a G&T or Try an Elderflower Collins….Combine Shortcross Gin, elderflower liqueur, lemon juice and sugar syrup in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake until well chilled. Half fill a tall glass with ice and pour in cocktail mixture. Top up with soda water and stir gently, then serve with a sprig of mint. Refreshing and delicious!
