Burleighs Gin master distiller Jamie Baxter created Burleighs PINK Gin in August 2016 following a trip to Tokyo. Inspired by the bright lights and scents of Japan’s bustling capital city in May, Jamie returned to the 45 West Distillery in the picturesque Charnwood Forest in Leicestershire and distilled a single batch of Burleighs PINK Gin.
Starting with the eleven botanicals in his trio of award winning gins including locally grown silver birch, dandelion and burdock root and elderberries, Jamie added four new botanicals to capture the spirit of his inspirational trip to Tokyo: pink grapefruit, rose, hibiscus and, of course, Japanese cherry blossom! These botanicals gave his new gin a delicious floral fruitiness balanced with refreshing citrus flavours.
Bottled at 40% ABV in an opaque pink bottle, just 600 bottles of Burleighs PINK Gin were unleashed on an unsuspecting world and the response surpassed all expectations with the entire batch selling out in just 5 days! So after much pleading from eager customers and craft gin retailers alike, Jamie has just distilled another batch of this brilliant gin and we have secured an allocation here at Craft Gins.
